FlowLift™ Safety & Medical Disclaimer
FlowLift™ is designed for pregnancy comfort support only. It uses gentle pneumatic air compression to help expecting mothers relax and soothe the heavy, tight, swollen-leg feeling that can happen during pregnancy.
FlowLift™ is not a medical treatment and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, deep vein thrombosis, blood clots, high blood pressure, or any pregnancy-related medical condition.
Some swelling during pregnancy can be common, especially in the legs, ankles, feet, and fingers. It is often worse later in pregnancy and toward the end of the day. However, a sudden increase in swelling can be a sign of pre-eclampsia and should be checked as soon as possible.
Please speak to your doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider before using FlowLift™ if you have a high-risk pregnancy, high blood pressure, pre-eclampsia concerns, HELLP syndrome concerns, a history of blood clots, circulation issues, varicose vein complications, diabetes, reduced sensation in your legs, skin ulcers, burns, wounds, infection, or any condition where compression has not been recommended.
Do not use FlowLift™ and seek urgent medical advice if you experience sudden swelling of the face, hands, or feet, severe headache, vision changes, pain below the ribs or upper abdomen, nausea or vomiting, chest pain, shortness of breath, feeling very unwell, or high blood pressure. These can be warning signs of pre-eclampsia or other serious pregnancy complications.
Do not use FlowLift™ on a leg with sudden, painful, one-sided swelling, warmth, redness, discoloration, calf pain, or tenderness. These may be signs of deep vein thrombosis, and pregnancy can increase the risk of blood clots during pregnancy and for weeks after birth.
HELLP syndrome is a serious pregnancy complication that affects the blood and liver and can occur in the second half of pregnancy, third trimester, or shortly after birth. Symptoms may include right upper abdominal pain, feeling very unwell, nausea, vomiting, headache, or vision changes, and it requires urgent medical care.
FlowLift™ should feel comfortable and soothing. Stop use immediately if you feel pain, numbness, tingling, dizziness, shortness of breath, skin irritation, increased swelling, or any unusual discomfort.
When in doubt, get checked. Your comfort matters — but your safety and your baby’s safety come first.
